Portico carried out the research earlier this year, surveying 100 landlords to find out what they’re worried about in the coming year. Over half (58 per cent) said that tax and legislative changes were their biggest worries.
However, with 31 per cent stating that property maintenance is one of their main concerns, this is the second most important thing that landlords are focusing on. For some landlords, it could be that managing a larger portfolio feels challenging, while others may be more concerned about the specifics of dealing with tenants and addressing issues.
Of those questioned, 14 per cent said that they don’t currently have landlord insurance in place, and the same percentage said that they weren’t sure if they did or not.
